Job summary

Saint Luke’s East Hospital is seeking a part-time, evening Inpatient Pharmacy Technician. The role involves filling automated dispensing cabinets, delivering medications to hospital units, and potential IV sterile compounding, unit dose packaging, and various preparation tasks.

The position is 16 hours per week with evenings on weekdays and every other weekend, supporting hospital staff and processing requests.

Qualifications

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Pharmacy Technician (MO) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration

Responsibilities

• Pick, fill and deliver medication orders and Omnicell stock to appropriate locations
• Fill first doses for new orders for patients
• Prepack drugs and compound medications including sterile products, chemotherapy, and special dosage forms (topicals, oral liquids, etc.)
• Assist with maintaining stock supplies in the pharmacy department as needed
• Answer the phone/front window, and assist with questions and requests
• Attend all department and technician meetings
• Complete projects as needed that improve service and/or safety

Education

Certified Pharmacy Technician (within 18 months of hire)
