Job summary

Community Partners in Action seeks a Human Services Worker for Hartford Transitional Housing in Hartford, CT. This part-time, second-shift role runs 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, with a 24-hour weekly schedule including Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The worker supports residents, enforces safety and conduct policies, and collaborates with Court Support Services Division as part of the Transitional Housing program. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, with preferred associate or bachelor’s

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Candidate should have experience in human services with justice-involved clients and substance use or mental health issues.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per program policies.
• Maintain a safe, de-escalated environment for residents and staff.
• Act as mediator to resolve conflicts and support program participation.
• Maintain professional boundaries and document incidents promptly.
• Complete required forms, log books, and shift reports accurately.
• Ensure visitors are identified and searches comply with policy.
• Assist with intake, after-hours admissions, and random drug testing.
