Job summary

Community Partners in Action is hiring a Human Services Worker-Bilingual for Hartford Transitional Housing. The role supports residents, enforces program policies, and provides a safe, respectful environment in a 32-hour weekly, 2nd shift position (4:00PM-12:00AM).

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma/GED and bilingual Spanish/English skills; a valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor resident activities per program policies.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation.
• Mediator to resolve conflicts in a solutions-focused manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Provide professional conduct and maintain a positive image in all interactions.
• Assist with resident needs and ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Follow agency procedures for facility operations such as head counts, rounds, and inspections.
