Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking an Evening Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment. You must be able to work on a team or alone while following health and safety guidelines to keep buildings and common areas in the best condition possible.

The role requires weekend and flexible scheduling, specifically 3PM-11PM, and involves preparing shift reports for the management team and collaborating with the Chief Engineer on projects.

Qualifications

• Identify and report safety hazards (broken doors/railings, fire hazards) and notify supervisors of damages.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpet and tile floor maintenance and repairs.
• Paint, minor roof repairs and other exterior projects.
• Repair pool and exercise room equipment as needed.
• Participate in ongoing preventative maintenance programs.
• Check stocking levels of consumables and replenish when appropriate.
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and Management on technical and skilled projects.
• Prepare a shift reports for management.
• Report for exterior maintenance in bad weather conditions when required.
