Job summary

- Sterile compounding experience required.
- Must understand metric conversions and proportion calculations.
Responsibilities
- Interacts with coworkers and patients in line with Jefferson values.
- Prepares drug orders for pharmacist review and dispensing.
- Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temps with documentation.
- Counts, compounds, and repackages pharmaceuticals per procedures.
- Distributes medications, restocks inventory, and tracks expirations.
- Performs billing/crediting tasks and documents waste.
- Collects physician orders and restocks specialty and code carts.
- Uses aseptic technique to prepare IVs and transports them to floors.
- Maintains competencies for IV lab, Pyxis, and related systems.
