Job summary

UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center is hiring a Guest Service Representative I to greet guests, provide directions and hospital information in the ED lobby and facility waiting areas. This non-exempt role supports patient care decisions and ensures smooth lobby traffic during weekday evenings (4:30pm–8:00pm).

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of customer service (healthcare preferred), valid state driver's license for valet needs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and ability to interact with diverse populations.
• Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office.
• Skills: Effective communication, confidentiality, attention to detail, problem solving, and teamwork; able to work independently or in a team.
• Preferred: Be a current notary public or willing to become one.

• Greet guests and provide directions and information at key entry points.
• Monitor lobby traffic and maintain order in waiting areas.
