Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) for the 4 West Tower Med/Surg Unit. You will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families and visitors and help ensure efficient operation of the unit by managing records, admissions, transfers and discharges.

The role requires a HS diploma and at least 1 year in customer service, with preference for a college degree and Microsoft Office experience. Evening shifts 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Typing, computer skills or related coursework required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and orient patients and families to the unit.
• Respond to patient call lights and assist with rounds.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Assist patients and families with wayfinding and resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient records and related documents.
• Support unit clerical functions and troubleshoot equipment.
