Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and total engagement with customers and team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to influence others and build rapport quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Train new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and sales.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policies.
• Guide food safety and safety compliance and uphold accountability.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and display when applicable.
• Support Meijer culture with diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
