Job summary

Colonial Security Services in Providence, RI is seeking a Front Desk Security Officer to help keep a high-end residential environment safe while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet residents and guests, monitor access, and respond to incidents.

The role requires strong communication, calmness under pressure, and attention to detail, with shifts Mon-Fri 7pm-1am or Tue-Sat 1am-7am. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Security experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in customer service and security roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with package management systems and security protocols.
• Knowledge of the local area and amenities is a plus.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting residents.
• Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor to enhance the resident experience.
• Monitor and control access to the property, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Conduct regular patrols of common areas and document patrols via mobile device.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies and alarms.
• Create daily logs and incident reports.
• Receive and scan incoming packages and manage storage and distribution.
