Job summary

Hampton Inn Morgan Hill in Morgan Hill, CA, is seeking a Front Desk Agent to check guests in and out quickly and courteously using our property management system.

You will process payments, provide information about hotel services, and handle guest requests with a commitment to total guest satisfaction. This role requires 1-2 years of customer service experience and the ability to stand for 8 hours.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours.
• Basic computer skills: email, MS Word/Excel and hotel management system.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Registers guests, issues room keys, provides information on hotel services and room location, and answers phones in prompt and courteous manner.
• Upsells rooms whenever possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Accurately processes cash and credit card transactions per procedures, including posting charges, completing cashier reports, preparing deposits, and securing the assign bank.
• Issues, controls and releases guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Communicates outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
• Responds to guest complaints with service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
