Job summary

The Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton is seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to be the guests' first point of contact, handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and information on rooms, rates and amenities.

You will assist guests with needs, coordinate with housekeeping, upsell services when appropriate, and ensure a smooth, welcoming stay. Both part-time and full-time schedules including 3pm-11pm shifts are available, with weekend work required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel front desk operations and guest services.
• Proficiency with hotel reservations software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform check-in and check-out tasks.
• Manage online and phone reservations.
• Inform guests about payment methods and verify credit card data.
• Register guests with required information (contact details, dates).
• Welcome guests and assign rooms.
• Provide information about rooms, rates, and amenities.
• Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready and clean.
• Confirm group reservations and assist VIP guests or event attendees.
• Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate.
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.
