Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Dock Worker to move freight in the dock area, operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load and unload trailers.

You will verify freight documentation, secure loads inside trailers, and assist customers with freight paperwork, while following safety rules and company policies. Hours are 1700-2100, with varied shifts. This role requires physical endurance and teamwork in a fast-paced dock environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling, or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy freight and operate basic equipment.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazmat).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
