FedEx Freight is seeking an on-site Dock Worker to move freight across dock areas and assist in loading trailers. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, verify shipments, secure loads, and help customers with documentation.

The role requires physical stamina, basic math and communication skills, and prior warehouse experience is preferred. Occasional hostling duties and adherence to safety policies are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Warehousing, freight handling or forklift operations experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight and dock plates up to ~100 pounds and open trailer doors (~75 pounds lift) multiple times daily.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, push/pull freight throughout shift.
• Work independently or as part of a team; previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Transport freight using motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
