Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to move freight across the dock area to and from trailers and assist with loading and unloading. The role requires operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, verifying freight documentation, and securing loads inside trailers.

The candidate should have basic math and good communication, with prior warehousing experience preferred. Starting pay is $24.14 per hour, with potential to earn up to $27.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in warehousing or forklift operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) to move freight.
• Verify documentation matches freight description and secure freight inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
