Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a dock worker to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers. Starting rate is $22.92 per hour, with shift 1700-2130. This is a physically demanding role requiring reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy freight and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight documentation matches description using system.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps or rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Complete required reports and assist customers as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
