Burke Corporation in Nevada, Iowa, is seeking a Facility Technician for the 2nd shift (6:00PM–6:00AM, 3/2/2 schedule) to improve reliability, efficiency and maintenance of the Building/Grounds and support equipment.

Qualifications include at least 1 year hands-on maintenance experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid driver’s license, and willingness to work evenings/weekends/overtime; HACCP and safety rules are emphasized. Hormel Foods promotes equal employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year hands-on experience in facility maintenance and repair.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and work in loud, hot/cold environments.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains tool room equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and structures; ensures safe and optimum functioning of systems and processes.
• Performs set up/tear down of process equipment daily.
• Facility rounds to inspect and record repairs needed.
• Inspects safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and sprinkler systems to ensure compliance.
• Protects confidential information and trade secrets and company rights.
