Job summary

National Beef Packing of Moultrie, Georgia, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to maintain and repair mechanical equipment and facilities. Prior food processing maintenance, ammonia/refrigeration experience, or electrical skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail.
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
• Creating daily activity reports.
• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
