Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join a collaborative, safety‑driven team focused on keeping plant operations reliable and productive. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex machinery and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

This role emphasizes advanced technical expertise, hands-on problem solving, and ongoing learning through training and certifications. A 2:00pm–11:00pm shift is available, with weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 - 8 years experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical, welding and rigging.
• Intermediate proficiency with PLC.
• Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain Perdue Farms QEW Certification.
• Must demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech III proficiency within 10 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly technically complex tasks with a high degree of independence.
• Diagnose and repair complex machinery, perform preventive maintenance, ensure production efficiency.
• Provide Operators with support around machine reliability; collaborate with production associates and other technicians.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly; report unsafe situations.
• Follow safety and quality protocols to exceed standards.
• Observe safety precautions as required by Perdue.
• Use safety measures to minimize exposure to hazards.
• Maintain work records and prepare reports.
• Work all scheduled shifts.
