RWJ Rahway Hospital in Rahway, NJ invites a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Emergency Department for the Evening shift. You will deliver direct patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support swift, evidence-based treatment in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 1 year of critical-care experience; an ASN or Nursing Diploma is required, BSN strongly preferred. Active NJ RN license or compact endorsement is required, with BLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of critical-care experience; ED experience preferred.
• ASN or Nursing Diploma (BSN strongly preferred).
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or NJ endorsement of a Compact license.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and intervene with clinical judgment.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to support coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and transitions of care.
• Participate in a collaborative team environment and pursue professional development.
