Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Hamilton, NJ seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. You will assess patients, administer treatments, and coordinate with physicians to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements: active NJ RN license, BLS; ACLS and PALS preferred or required. 1–2 years acute care experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 1–2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Provide safe medications and hands-on care grounded in clinical judgment.
• Partner with physicians and providers to support timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve transitions of care.
• Collaborate within a team to optimize patient outcomes and safety.
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and career ladder opportunities.
