Job summary

Jefferson Abington Hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Access Representative for the evening shift in the Emergency Department, every other weekend. You will register patients, collect demographics, and verify insurance to ensure accurate billing and smooth flow of patients.

Responsibilities include using EPIC/Cerner, handling Medicare/Medicaid questions, and maintaining compliance while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare registration is a plus.
• Proficient with EPIC or Cerner and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect accurate demographics.
• Verify insurance and collect copays or liability details.
• Use RTE/Phreesia to confirm coverage and referrals.
• Rotate through Outpatient Registration and Emergency Department.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
