Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a dock associate to transport freight across the dock area to and from trailers. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while verifying paperwork and securing cargo inside trailers.

Applicants should be 18+, with preferred warehousing or forklift experience. Tasks include documenting movements, assisting customers with freight paperwork, and performing hostling duties as needed. ADA assistance available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing/freight handling or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across dock area to/from trailers for loading to trailers.
• Operate motorized and manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Verify documentation matches freight description and secure freight in trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight/docs and perform hostling duties if required.
