Job summary

Friendship Community Care in Marshall, AR seeks a part-time Direct Support Professional for evening shifts (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM) in home and community settings. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, transport to activities, and uphold plans of care with proper documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Arkansas driver’s license; prior experience with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to perform essential duties.
• GED or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks (e.g., showers, dressing, housekeeping, meals, budgeting).
• Provides transportation to activities/appointments as needed; valid driver’s license required.
• Maintains communication via logs and meetings; documents progress and plans of care.
• Completes required documentation (reports, forms, logs) and maintains records per Medicaid guidelines.
• Supports medication management and safety procedures.
• Organizes recreational activities and models professional behavior and appearance.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Two+ years experience with developmentally disabled individuals

Valid Arkansas driver's license
