Job summary

Friendship Community Care, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in home and community settings. You will assist clients with daily living tasks, provide transportation, and document care plans.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (2+ years’ experience with developmentally disabled individuals) and a valid Arkansas driver's license. Confidentiality and HIPAA must be maintained, with flexible scheduling to cover evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus two+ years experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid Arkansas driver’s license is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in basic living skills and daily personal tasks.
• Provide transportation to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain communication with staff about clients’ needs and progress.
• Complete required documentation (behavioral, incident, personal care worksheets, etc.).
• Follow medication management guidelines and document procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; maintain records and logs.
• Attend trainings and participate in plan of care development.
• Help maintain FCC facilities and vehicles in good condition.
• Display professional appearance and conduct at all times.
