Job summary

Bridgewell in Melrose, MA is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities in daily living and community activities.

You will provide skills training, supervision, and support across shifts, maintain progress notes, and coordinate with families and program staff while following regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5+ years of verified experience in the same position.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and agency web-based applications.
• Valid US driver's license with at least one year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assist people with skills training in activities of daily living across shifts.
• Create opportunities for people to develop independence and make decisions.
• Follow regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies in care and documentation.
• Maintain documentation such as progress notes and shift checklists.
• Assist with transporting people to medical, recreational, and community activities.
