Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Brooklyn, NY for a part-time evening shift (Monday-Thursday, 3pm-11:30pm), totaling about 32 hours per week. The DSP will assist individuals with personal care, daily activities, and health-related tasks within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities include teaching skills toward independence, documenting observations, and accompanying residents to medical or community appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• DSP certificate or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
• AMAP/SCIP-R/CPR and First Aid certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Assist with medication reminders and health-related observations.
• Help develop skills for greater independence following habilitation plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation of progress.
• Escort individuals to appointments and community activities as needed.
