Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in a residential program in Brooklyn. The DSP provides direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, assisting with daily living, health support, and skill-building in a structured setting.

The role requires AMAP/SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain them within six months. The schedule includes weekends (Sat-Sun, 7am-3:30pm) with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; DSP certificate required or obtainable.
• Experience with direct care for adults with disabilities preferred.
• Certifications must be current or obtainable within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, and medication administration per AMAP.
• Support nutrition, meal prep, and social dining activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment and assist with mobility as needed.
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skills training and transportation.
• Observe, document progress and participate in planning and staff training.
