Institute for Community Living Inc. in Bronx, NY, is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care in a residential setting for adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities.

You will assist with daily living, health monitoring, and skill development in a structured home environment. The DSP works under supervision with a Friday–Saturday 3pm–11:30pm shift, earning $19.8077 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DSP Certificate from an accredited organization.
• AMAP, SCIP-R and CPR/First Aid certifications within six months of hire.
• New York State Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration (per AMAP), vital signs, and medical appointments
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities, including meal preparation, safe food handling, and social dining skills
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized residential environment, including housekeeping and safety
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skill-building and transportation
• Encourage positive interpersonal relationships, communication, money management, and leisure activities
• Observe, document, and report progress; participate in planning, meetings, and training
• Apply approved behavior management techniques and respond to emergencies
• Perform other related duties as assigned
