Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a residential setting in Brooklyn. The role involves providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, with AMAP/SCIP-R, CPR, and First Aid certifications required within six months of hire. A NYS driver's license and a clean record are also required.

Schedule is Sunday-Thursday, overnight 11pm-7:30am, totaling 40 hours. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, PTO, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of OPWDD policies and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage challenging situations calmly.
• Experience providing direct care to adults with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, and medication administration per AMAP.
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities and safe food handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment and assist with minor maintenance.
• Promote independence and community integration through skill-building and supports.
• Observe, document, and report progress; participate in team meetings and training.
