Job summary

Burton Center For Disabilities & Special Needs is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join the Residential Program in an Intermediate Care Facility. This second-shift role offers 12–25 hours per week of hands-on support to adults with disabilities, including training, personal care, meal prep, and community activities.

You will receive in‑depth training, use a Chromebook for progress notes, and may be required to complete MedTech and Basic Life Support certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires valid SC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Adaptable, team-oriented and supportive demeanor.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professional and Chef duties in an Intermediate Care Facility.
• Provide person-centered support and training to up to 8 adults with disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and behavior support plans.
• May be trained to drive Burton Center vehicles and operate wheelchair lifts.
• Maintain progress notes using Therap software and participate in outings and activities.
