Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Doraville, GA to oversee a shop team responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of heavy-duty garbage trucks, equipment and containers. You will coordinate repairs, enforce safety standards, and drive productivity in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong diagnostic skills, and experience supervising mechanics, with CDL preferred and a track record of managing repair orders and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical, hydraulic and body components on heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Knowledge of fuel systems.
• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of vehicle/hydraulic maintenance or welding experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or lead experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; meet Waste Pro requirements to operate trucks.
• Mechanic school certification and ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on Waste Pro equipment; road test to verify repairs.
• Supervise team responsible for repair, installation and maintenance of machinery and heavy-duty equipment.
• Prepare and review repair orders; track labor, materials and parts; maintain repair logs.
• Participate in hiring, coaching, evaluating performance, training and enforcing safety.
• Develop and maintain relationships with managers, drivers, mechanics and admin staff.
• Identify parts needs and procure within budget; refer major purchases to Maintenance Manager.
• Participate in safety lane process, review DVIRs, set repair priorities, assign work, inspect trucks.
