Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Distribution Center Supervisor in Ashland, VA to oversee daily DC operations, from receiving through shipping. This role directs hourly staff, conducts appraisals, and collaborates across departments to ensure productivity and quality while maintaining a safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in warehousing, 1–3 years in a lead role, and may benefit from bilingual Spanish skills. The position includes a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of warehouse experience.
• 1-3 years as a lead or supervisor.
• Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate daily activities to achieve productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and knowledge goals.
• Oversee all aspects of the distribution center to ensure accurate, timely processing and delivery of products.
• Provide day-to-day direction and development to hourly staff, including coaching and corrective actions.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback on performance.
• Interview and hire new employees and collaborate across departments to maximize productivity.
• Analyze business trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
