Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Warehouse Associate II in Ashland, VA to support inventory and movement of product. You will unload/load trailers, designate storage areas, and verify inventory to ensure accurate shipments.

The role requires basic English, reading labels, and the ability to operate RF units and basic warehousing equipment. Work hours are Monday-Tuesday 8:00-4:30, Wednesday 8:00-12:00 with an hourly rate of $18.50 and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read, write and identify colors, sizes, quantity, labels and SKU information.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities.
• Ability to learn Internal Operating System(s) and operate RF unit.
• Self-starter with initiative; work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient typing and data entry skills.
• Ability to follow directions and adjust priorities as business needs require.
• Able to work in high-demand, high-volume environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load trailers and move product using powered lift equipment.
• Store product and adjust storage areas; update location database.
• Prepare product for shipment by verifying location and directing movement to staging area.
• Verify inventory by comparing logs and reports; adjust entries.
• Document warehouse actions with forms, reports, logs, and records; maintain databases.
• Monitor inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Support returns processing, invoicing, tagging shipments, stats input, and reporting.
• Maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment per policies and regulations.
