Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Custodial Worker 1 in the Facilities Maintenance Services (FMS) Department. You will join a team of Custodial Workers and perform daily, weekly, and project cleaning for assigned buildings, including restrooms, floors, and surfaces.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with six months custodial or janitorial experience, plus related work experience. A valid Nevada driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months custodial or janitorial experience.
• Six months general work experience plus six months custodial or janitorial experience.
• Six months of experience as a Custodial Worker Trainee in Nevada State service.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms.
• Mop and vacuum floors.
• Snow removal.
• Empty trash.
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory.
• Remove graffiti.
• Wipe and dust vertical and horizontal surfaces.
• Perform annual maintenance.
• Wax floors.
• Clean carpets.
• Other duties as assigned.
