Job summary

Massachusetts Trial Court is seeking a Custodian for the Greenfield District Court to perform custodial duties, cleaning offices, bathrooms, and common areas. The role includes lawn and snow tasks, and occasional maintenance support, under a Facilities Supervisor. A union position with step-based pay may apply.

Typical shifts run Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a potential $1 shift differential for late starts. Prior custodial experience is preferred; no degree required.

Qualifications

• No degree required; three years of related custodial experience preferred.
• Experience with cleaning methods, supplies and floor care is required.
• Knowledge of KAIVAC and IMOP equipment is expected.

Responsibilities

• Dust and mop floors and operate vacuum to clean carpet areas.
• Strip and apply floor wax and use power buffer for polishing.
• Clean windows, walls, doors and sanitize restrooms.
• Move furniture and assist in minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Provide coverage for other custodians when required.
