Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CPR/BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of new inmates and start medical records.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for examinations and assist provider.
• Maintain IVs and monitor IV therapies as needed.
• Coordinate with HSA and delegate assignments to staff as needed.
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of chronic diseases.
