Job summary

CorrHealth in Colorado seeks a Registered Nurse to provide a full range of nursing services to inmate patients, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, and evaluating care under the supervising health care team.

The RN will respond to emergencies, administer prescribed treatments, prepare exam rooms, educate patients on diet and prevention, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining security and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license required.
• Degree/diploma from an approved nursing program.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess inmate health problems and document medical records.
• Respond to emergencies and administer treatments as prescribed.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during exams.
• Maintain IVs and monitor IV therapies as needed.
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of diseases.
