Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates within a correctional facility in Brighton, Colorado. The RN will assess health problems, administer treatments, document care, and support the health care team in delivering safe, evidence-based services.

The role requires an unrestricted RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to respond to emergencies, manage medical equipment, and educate inmates on health and prevention.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program
• Current unrestricted RN license
• Experience in correctional healthcare preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and initiate medical records
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Prepare equipment, records, and rooms for examinations
• Maintain IVs and IV therapies as needed
• Educate patients on health, diet, and prevention of diseases
