Job summary

You will handle emergencies, administer treatments, maintain IVs, educate patients, and participate in charge nurse duties as needed. Schedule is 6:00p-6:00a on a 36/48 rotation, requiring CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program and an active RN license.
• CPR/BLS certification and ability to manage emergency situations.
• Experience in correctional healthcare is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess inmates, initiate medical records, and participate in care planning.
• Respond to day-to-day medical issues and emergencies and administer treatments.
• Prepare equipment and assist providers; maintain IVs and pharmacology documentation.
• Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and prevention of chronic diseases.
