Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing services to inmates in a correctional facility in Boulder, Colorado. The RN will assess patients, document care, and participate in treatment planning while ensuring safety and security within the unit.

The role requires current RN licensure, ability to respond to emergencies, and competency with IV therapy and basic medical equipment. Training and compliance with HIPAA and facility policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program
• Current and unrestricted RN license in good standing
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assess health problems of inmates and maintain medical records.
• Respond to daily medical issues and emergencies.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for examinations; assist provider as needed.
• Maintain IV therapy equipment and documentation.
• Coordinate with Health Services Admin; may act as Charge Nurse when needed.
• Provide CPR and AED support during emergencies.
• Educate inmates on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
