Job summary

Marvin is seeking an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues on production equipment. The role starts with day shift training for up to two months before transitioning to the evening shift, with a 4:00pm–2:00am schedule (Mon-Thu; OT Fridays).

You'll work with RS Logix PLCs (Allen-Bradley), servo controls, and multimeters, documenting changes in the EAM system and collaborating with CEPG for improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical-related field preferred.
• Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and determine service/repair needs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC programming issues for production reliability.
• Document repairs and maintenance in the EAM system.
• Set up and operate servo drives and check motor operations (AC/DC/servo).
• Communicate performance issues and improvement ideas to technical staff.
• Back up PLC/programs and verify system performance under operating conditions.
