Job summary

Marvin is hiring an Evening Controls Technician at our Kansas City facility. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems on production machines, using Allen-Bradley RS Logix and EAM documentation.

The role includes a day-one health plan, paid time off, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a training period on first shift before moving to evenings. You'll work Mon-Thu 4:00pm–2:00am with occasional Friday OT, and collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a closely related role.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
• Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
• Proficient with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Observes functioning of equipment to detect hazards and service needs.
• Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen-Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance in the plant’s EAM system.
• Trace problems with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic components; assist PLC support.
• Set up servo controls and VFD parameters; troubleshoot motors (Servo, DC, Induction).
• Collaborate with CEPG on machine improvements and document set-points.
