Job summary

Marvin seeks an Evening Controls Technician to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production machines, including PLC controls. The role trains on day shift for up to 2 months before transitioning to evenings, with a 4:00pm–2:00am schedule and OT on Fridays.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a closely related role.
Associate’s degree in a technical field strongly preferred.
Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical and mechanical components.
Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley RS Logix 500/5000.
Work efficiently with the EAM system to document repairs and preventative maintenance.
Traces problems using electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
Discusses performance issues and improvement ideas with technical staff.
Maintains backups of programs for electrical devices and supports PLCs plant-wide.
