Job summary

Sanford Health is a major rural health system providing care across America’s heartland. The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves residents in long-term care during the evening shift, delivering patient-centered care under the supervision of an RN.

Responsibilities include daily living activities, vital signs, and support for infection prevention and PPE use. The position emphasizes teamwork in a rewarding environment with part-time hours and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification with the State Board or be in process of obtaining it.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Complete annual competency testing and 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Record and monitor vital signs and report changes to the RN or charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences; provide comfort and psychosocial support.
• Document resident interactions and participate in care planning as directed.
