Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support nursing staff under supervision of an RN.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, meals, documentation of interactions, and adherence to infection control policies. Requires CNA certification and ongoing continuing education; benefits include a sign-on bonus and night-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits each year.
• When applicable, certified and registered with the UAP Registry; may require Sanford Driving Policy qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Record vital signs and monitor health status.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and mobility.
• Provide meals, hydration and dining assistance.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Support infection prevention and PPE use.
