Job summary

Good Samaritan Society is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for long-term care in De Smet, SD. The NA provides resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with daily living activities, meals, and comfort.

Responsibilities include vital signs, mobility assistance, documentation, infection prevention, and collaboration with the nursing team. CNA certification and ongoing competency testing are required. This is a full-time evening shift location De Smet, SD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in progress; facility provides training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities, meals, hygiene, and mobility.
• Record vital signs and other care-related documentation.
• Follow infection control policies and use PPE as required.
