Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) at the GSS SD Desmet Ctr in De Smet, SD. The NA will provide resident-centered care under supervision, assist with activities of daily living, transfers, and vital signs, and support wellness activities in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a CNA certification or enrollment in a training program, high school/GED, and completion of competency testing. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• GED preferred but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining certification.
• Annual continuing education: minimum 12 hours; maintain required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support with meals, hydration, and nutritional supplements; document vital signs when needed.
