Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of an RN. The role involves daily living assistance, vital signs, mobility support, infection control, and documentation of care activities to ensure a safe, comfortable experience for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; not required.
• Minimum age 16; CNA experience preferred.
• CNA certification required or in progress within four months.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits required.
• May require driver’s license in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with transferring, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
• Document care, vital signs, and care plan adherence.
• Support meals, dining, and psychosocial activities.
• Communicate changes in condition to nursing staff.
