Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant for even­ing shifts at the De Smet, SD facility. The NA provides resident-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with daily living activities and basic health tasks in a long-term care setting, including documentation and basic health monitoring.

Qualified candidates have CNA certification and are enrolled if not yet certified; continuing education is required annually. Attractive benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into position.
• Annual 12 hours continuing education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Record vital signs and document resident interactions.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility.
• Support infection prevention and PPE usage.
