Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will support daily living activities, assist with transfers and mobility, and help monitor health needs under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, documentation, meal assistance, and participation in wellness activities. This role requires CNA certification and adherence to infection control and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing is required or in process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises.
• Take and record vital signs and document care as required.
• Assist with meals, dining, and hydration; support psychosocial needs.
• Maintain infection control policies and use PPE as trained.
• Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and recreational activities as needed.
